Propane on while traveling ?

So, do you all leave the propane on or off when rolling down the highway? Someone said i should but then what about the refer, it's a propane one. My hops will normly only be about 200 mles in any given day.

With a moniker of "Firedreamer", my recommendation would be to shut it off!

Maybe not ever turn it on...........

With our previous RV, we always traveled with Propane and Fridge on. First trip to Florida in early February we even ran with the Furnace on a low setting to keep water lines and food from freezing until we got to warmer climate.
When towing with a Gas TV, we would shut off the refer etc before pulling up to the pumps and then turn them on after we pulled away from the pumps. With a Diesel TV not so worried. And now we're totally residential so no worries.

We leave our propane turned on all the time. On some RW models, the propane line is exposed, and there is a danger of the line being ruptured with a major tire failure. Our gas line is no exposed on our model.

One thing that mitigates that fear is that all propane bottles (after 2002 ?) have safety shutoff valves to cutoff flow immediately when a line is cut...

in fact, have heard of some people complain that when they turn their gas ON it doesn't flow because they opened the valve too fast....

We turn off the LP at the bottles whenever on the road.

I leave mine on to run the gen to cool the trailer before arriving at our destination. Back in the day with the propane fridge it was always on to keep it cold while travelling
