Propane monitor

Hi all,
Had the monitor start beeping and the red light came on showing propane fault, was able to check everything related to propane, ventilated RV and system resumed monitoring.
This happened again, now understand I have the tanks shut off, I was able to get monitor to quiet itself, then the other night, and it is always at night, the monitor goes of again, and this time I cannot get it to stay off, it will secure itself for about ten minutes and start again.
Finally I went behind unit and pulled the 3 amp fuse, and this stopped problem.
Thinking the monitor itself is faulty, but before I replace, was wondering if anyone had this problem. Would like to solve quickly as having those monitors can save your life.
I still have the tanks shut off as we have had no use for gas since March.

Ours started doing something similar...always went off at 2-3 a.m. Had to replace the monitor. Bought one at Camping World for around $70.00.

X2, replaced ours last fall. They are dated & only good for 5+/- years. They will also alarm with low voltage.

Thanks everyone for their quick replies, it was what I was thinking, there is a Camping World here in Rapid City SD, so I will see if they have one and will replace.
What a wonderful thing this site is, advise is but a click away.
Good night everyone and god bless you all.

Also, the propane monitors are very sensitive, make sure you do not spray anything or splash anything near the monitor as it will set it off.

I have also read reports where the Family Dog sleeps near the Propane Detector and has passed gas (yes Dogs and Cats do that too) which set off the Detector.

Well, I can tell that if Kasey ever did that (pass gas next to the monitor), I'd never be able to turn off the darn thing!

Yea, thought at one time it might be the half bath since it doesn't get used all that much, so flushed tank and treated, went away for awhile and came back.

With the size of Aero, I'm afraid if he passed gas around the monitor, he would send it into a frenzy, and wake the whole campground up.

If you ever need to test it, spray Lysol air freshener anywhere inside the coach & in seconds the monitor will alarm.

Silicone Spray on the Drawer Slides works to set it off also.

Have reinserted the 3 amp fuse, sent it through reset process, filled the half bath up with water and added cup Borax and I\2 cup Calgon will let soak overnight and flush and retreat tomorrow as we are leaving next day for a new campground nearby.
So far monitor is quiet, will see how long it lasts, if this persists I will replace monitor as earlier suggested.
