Pantry door falling off

Any suggestions on fixing pantry door. It falls during travel because the screws pull out of the hinge on the door. Have tried drilling out and plugging with dowel, but still has fallen out.

I would drill the holes all the way through and put a bolt with a lock nut on the inside. You could use a Carraige bolt and it would not look bad on the outside of the pantry door. If I had mine fall off that is what I would do to fix it. Do you lock your sliding drawers in place they may be hitting the pantry door and knocking it off the hinges. I have a 1" X 2" about 60" long that I wedge between the closet frame so the drawers cannot hit the door when traveling.

I modified the pantry drawers with a bolt type device similar to the following:

Belwith Products 1849-SN Satin Nickel Finish Slide Surface Door Bolt (Solid Brass), 3-Inch - Door Lock Replacement Parts - Amazon.com

I put one on each pantry drawer which prevents the drawer from ever pushing out against the door while traveling. Have not had any problems in over 14K miles. I also had to add a piece of 1 x 2 along the right side of the pantry frame to mount the latch plates. I stained the wood to match the other woodwork. Looks like it was intended to be that way.

Relative to the remounting the door, the easiest might be to use brass machine screws with the plastic insert nuts through the door to hold the hinges in place.

Got it fixed, I think. Thanks for the help. Rod keeps drawers from hitting door.
