Noisy awning

We have a 2013 Redwood RL. There are two awnings. The main one is large and works fine. The smaller one is over the living area. Putting it out isn't too bad, but when we take it in, (if it goes on the first try) it groans and moans about 3/4 of the way in, then it goes quietly. Wondering if it needs to be lubricated and if so where should this happen. If anyone else out there has had a similar problem and has been able to solve it, please share. Thanks, and have a wonderful day.

Same here, I use silicone spray on the tracks a couple times a year. I also remove the plastic cover (extend the awning & with a ladder remove the 4-6 screws & the top half lifts up) on the motors & spray them with silcone annually. The rolle4s in the track are a rubber like material & really groan at timesm

Our makes noise also I do about the same as Danny said at least once to twice a year. This seems to help with the noise. I also don't always put the awning all the way out.

Also use silicone on the strut rods.
