New antenna from Winegard

Just found this new antenna because we had an accident that I sure no one els has ever had. Anyway searching for new one we found that Winegard has a new replacement for the standard style antenna called the Razor Air So for $50 we tried it. WOW much better as we are in Denver and the standard antenna was only picking up 6 good Chanel's
Now with the Razor Air we picked up 32 HD channels and it comes in two colors black and white I chose black to Mach all my roof vent cover. It is low profile so it not much taller than the AC covers and you don't have to turn it to get better signal just up or down. It dose look stylish when up compared to all the other old styles sticking up.

Alan, thanks for the feedback on those (flyswatter).

We had another thread going for just a bit on those, and I think one guy had tried it and it worked well for him also.

If you really want to get Hi-Tech, Wineguard is to release a new version of the Rayzor mounted in a Dome that will automaticly position it's self for the most and strongest signals.

Is this an install using the same location as the old style?

My Sensar IV works great - but I have no basis of comparison with the Rayzor.

A real plus for the new auto ant.
is that it saves me from having to run and wave my arms at the people leaving the park with their antennas UP

hahahaha!

So get this! Wife kills power to the Winegard trav'ler dish to retract it. Brad pulls the plug and winds up the cord before the antenna ever starts to retract.

As I'm leaving I had a gal waiving her arms yelling at me that my antenna was up, and I just looked at her funny for a few seconds because I didn't remember ever using the antenna. I got out and looked and holy buckets! That would have probably ripped the roof open if I hit a tree. I had to start the generator to get power to retract the dish.

Yep but I wished someone had come running and waving at me before I pulled down the power lines and pulled the antina off.

I don't know about the newest automatic antina it sound cool. But I do know that for $50 the Razer Air is great.

My wife and I had always been trying to remind each other about bringing down the antenna. One time upon leaving a campground very early, and in the dark, I was very proud that I had remembered to crank down the antenna. Just as we were leaving the campground and pulling out on the highway, a pickup truck with a couple of deer hunters pulled up along side and yelled that my satellite antenna was sticking out the side. That had me really scratching my head because my satallite antenna is in a dome on top. But, when I checked, I found that when I cranked down the off air antenna, I had not rotated it back to the home position. It was "sticking out the side" at the roof line by about 3 feet.
