Museum putty use

Has anyone used museum putty on the “wood” services in your RW. I have some lamps I want to stick down but am concerned if it will harm the “wood” tops. I’ve used it on the solid service in the bath by the sink and it’s working great there. So suggestions please. Thanks in advance

Never liked the putty in the sticks/bricks & haven't used it in the RW, but have had great luck with the 3M Command strips. Everything is hung up or stuck down with them. Be sure to clean both surface with alcohol before sticking & if you think 2 will hold it put 3-4, plus if you Use a plastic putty knife to remove them you can cut the pull tabs off of them.

Ok. Hadn’t thought of the command strips for heavier things. Will give it a try

Has anyone ever had a problem with the Command Strips bubbling or tearing the wall paper?

I’ve had pictures on the walls for about a year and no bubbles

Been using them for years, in the sticks/bricks also, & .never had a problem, no bubbles.
Curious, if something is hung with them, how do you know there's bubbles?
Never had them tear wallpaper or damage paint or wood!.

I've read reports on other forums of them tearing the wallpaper and of bubbles under the wall paper when the strips were removed. I've also read that they can loose their adhesion and come loose in high heat (>100 degrees). I'm encouraged that they don't seem to be a problem with the RW wallpaper.
