MB39 kitchen island

We have a leak coming from the island. Is it possible to take the island apart? There are no visible screws.

Why take the Island apart, you can reach all the plumbing, may be a bit of a pain, but possible.

We pulled the drawers and spice rack out to find a leak in the ice maker. I think we have it under control now. Thanks for the reply. After reading about all the troubles everyone is having with the ice makers, I wanted to leave the water turned off and buy ice. My husband thought otherwise.

We turned off ours and buy ice. Not worth the trouble ours leaked twice in the first three months.

We disconnected ours the first year also.. drained it, blew air into it and left it off..

We now buy bags of ice and dump them into the ice hopper.

Wow! Don't think we could do without ours! It makes 7 cubes at a time & it keeps up with our usage. Only once the line on the back at the top of the fridge apparently was overtightened at the factory & broke off, but that's been the only issue in 5+ years & it runs everyday.

We use ours all the time. When we first got the RW I replaced the line with a breaded stainless line and never has leaked except for a stupid moment I had after DE- winterizing and forgetting to tighten the line on the back of the fridge once.

Won't forget that again.

ours developed a leak after a few years. I turned it off under the sink, or so I thought. after a few weeks the DW tells me she sees water under the fridge. I mansplained that it had to be rain as I turned the valve off. After the 2nd or 3rd time of her seeing water she insisted I double check. Oops! I then had to explain that it was turned 98% off but not completely. There was a big I told you so after that, well deserved!

We didn't get one as it took up so much space. A couple of ice cube trays and a plastic bin and we have plenty of ice all the time.

Island leak

I had a leak and I took the spice rack drawer out and it was the drain line had come unscrewd! You can access all from that drawer.

icemaker line

We replaced the plastic line with stainless steel, trimmed the staples behind the spice rack that caused the plastic line to leak and put in a tee with a drain valve behind the fridge. The tee lets me blow out the line when I winterize.

So far, so good!

How do y'all get the fridge out to get at the water line? My mobile rv repair guy wouldn't touch it due to risk of tearing the flooring.

I put blocking to bring the floor up even and put 1/8” Masonite down to roll it on. Then later the refrigerator failed and whirlpool replaced it and paid my dealer for the actual swap. Dealer removed the wood molding on bottom of the slide and then reinstalled it.

On my fridge there are bolts between the plywood panel under the unit that tie it down. Once the bolts are removed the trim piece on the front of the plywood is pulled off and the fridge can be pulled out. I'm not sure there is any standard way Redwood mounted other fridges.

Fridge move

Sounds like a hassle. The water line behind the fridge is leaking. Judging by the majority of posts, I'm just as well off to keep buying ice.
