Lighting

I have a 2015 36RL. The galley light over the sink went out in first 2 weeks. All 3 bulbs turned black. Didn't know where the problem was and after a couple of months passed by a Camping World where I found a couple of bulbs (1076) to check it out. Well, the first day I put them in they both worked for a short time and then went out. Is it possible that 1076 is not the correct bulb for that fixture. I have 1076 in other fixtures and they are working fine.

We changed ours out to LEDs before we even left the Dealer's Lot and they're working fine.

We switched all to LEDs almost a year ago and so far all is good. See cabinbright.com . The owner, Joe, is very good at helping to find the right match for your fixtures and the shipping is quick.

I have not found any incandescent bulbs inside our FL except for the Bulbs in the Microwave Hood over the Stove.
I did change out the outside light bulbs over the doors to LEDs as they blew out pretty quick.

Now all you guys that have mentioned in others threads about changing to LED's. Are you replacing the complete fixture with the new style or just replacing the Bi-Pin halogen bulb with the Bi-Pin LED bulb??? If just a bulb change did this solve your problems since it's still a Bi-Pin? Almost every time I go out to our rig there is a different one out until I wiggle the bulb again and those lenses are not always fun to remove. I'm sick of this and would like to hear the best fix.

Thanks for the link to the Web site. I wasn't familiar with these folks.

Our last SOB 5th Wheel had the Halogen Lights with the two Pins, bulbs started blowing within the first couple of months of fulltime use so I changed all 39 bulbs out to LEDs, never had another problem.
The LEDs run much cooler than the Halogen lights too, easier on the A/C during these hot summer months.

If you have the fixtures with the 2-pin halogen lamps, they can be converted to 12 Volt, 10 Watt and 20 Watt LED lamps depending on your fixture size. I purchased mine online at M4Products at the following link:

M4 Products

They have some different light styles such as cool white, warm white and natural white. I prefer the natural white.

As you will see when looking at the web site, they have LED replacement lamps for any style including the automotive style base lamps.

I started replacing the lamps in our coach two years ago and haven't had any of them fail.

Hope this helps.

We have had M4 LEDs in our coach for almost 2 years and no issues. We went with their Samsung bulbs as they were having some color issues with their own brand at the time. The Samsung LEDs were more expensive, but the construction of the bulb and circuit was heavier duty. We went with the color that was closest to the original Halogens.

Are there any of the lights you find on Amazon any good? I have some points I can use with Amazon, but I've also heard the M4 people have good stuff....Just can't buy their product through Amazon..

Thanks for the M4 info! Easy order and super quick to ship. For now I only replaced the 20 - 20watt bulbs since it added up quick. Will do the 10 watts at another time since those seam to be OK.
We went with the warm white and it looks perfect to us.

Did you get their newer high power lights (Elite series) or the standard?

I got the Elite series. They are as bright as what we had but a much, much warmer feeling light. Doesn't feel like we were in a commercial building anymore but that's just me.
