I have a 2012 36 RE with an island that has two hanging lights over the counter. This may seem like a dumb question, but the one bulb burned out, and I am not sure how to change. When I try to unscrew the bulb, the bulb remains tight, but the entire fixture starts to unscrew. I have tried to push up and twist, and again no luck. Any thoughts on how to get the bulb out?

Thank you.

We have an RL with the Island and the two bulbs over it are single contact bayonet bulbs, the same as over the Table. They should just push up a little and turn about a quarter of a turn and pull out. Sorry don't recall which way they turn.

Thanks for the info. I have tried to just turn, and I have tried to push up on the bulb. When I turn the bulb the entire socket turns, and when I try to push up on the bulb, it does not appear to have any give. I just didn't want to break the bulb when trying to replace.

The don't come out easy. Push hard, quarter turn left (holding the fixture so it doesn't turn too), then pull hard. We have a 2012 RL we bought in Oct '11. We've replaced each of these two bulbs twice already. Best of luck.

None of the above blubs work - for a 36RL island light they are a 1076 dual contact bayonet base. To remove them push up on them and turn to the left 1/4 turn. They are available a Camping World for under two dollars for two.

We have the same two hanging lights in our 36RL.We have change them over toLED's. They make adaptor that will plug in to the socket.

Okay, the lites over the counter and table must be another area of change by Redwood. I just went out and checked ours (36RL built mid April) and they are a single contact bayonet mini-globe (approx 1.5" in diameter). So a word of caution, before you go buy replacements, check to see which type you have.

Finally got the bulb out by holding base, pushing up, and turning left. I had to use quite a bit of force pushing up and turning, but it came out. Thanks to all for your suggestions!
