Leaking Hydraulic Tank?

We took delivery of our '14 RW36FB on Friday. (It was delivered, we didn't tow it).

As I was trying to clean every orifice in the unit, we noticed oil all over the back battery case, and puddled below on the floor. DH found a drip off of the tank directly above it. During the walk-thru, we were told that the level of the tank drops when the landing gear is down, but when retracted, it will (and should) rise to the "full" line in the tank.

Well, we think perhaps it just may have 'bubbled out' and DH wants me to clean up the mess and see if it continues to leak. First step in troubleshooting. No, actually that will be the second step!

This is first step: Did anyone else have this issue? What did you do to solve it?

Thanks,

Shelley

P.S. I use "thingamajig" and 'doohickey' alot as I point my finger at "what I'm talking about".

On ours, I found some oily residue in the compartment but no puddle. I think in our case it was just messy from the build. It has never gotten worse and the level hasn't changed.

Thanks for your replies.

I will keep an eye on it and see if it is a 'non-issue'.

My hydraulics leaked early on and my service center/dealer found a loose line fitting in the compartment. Unfortunately before we discovered the leak it made a mess in the front underside of the unit.

Sounds like someone overfilled the tank. With slides in and jacks retracted see if fluid level is at the top of the fill hole.
