Laundry odor

Had our 38 GK for a year now and now we are starting to get an odor in our laundry washing machine. Any ideas?

All front loaders are like that, for our home I bought a set about 5 years ago(wish I hadn't) and have to leave the door open. They now sell and Item to keep your machine clean. Our unit in the RW is a combo so the drying cycle dry's it out so it doesn't smell...so far anyway. I've only used it a few times.

We wipe the inside door out after each use and also the inside rubber ring - get it dry as possible. Then we also leave the door open a tad.

DW runs it through the drain cycle when finished for the day & puts a small fan inside with door open for an hour or so. Also different detergents seem to make the problem worse, she now uses the pod type & seems the be best solution.

We have been using the Pod type detergent in our Front Loader in our 5th Wheels for about 3 years, no problems.

I have never heard of pod. We have been using liquid and it sticks around the rubber seal
Thanks

The Pods we use are still a liquid, they are just very covenant. We get them at Wall Mart, there are several brands of Pods.
We have to wipe the front seal from time to time to keep it clean and also leave the door open slightly every time after using it to allow the inside to dry out between uses.
