It was side to side, just at quit glance it appeared to be 2" metal strap.

I have an extension ladder that is 8' collapsed. It fits between the legs of the hitch in the bed of my truck. With the tailgate close it fits snugly. No. Movement. In any direction. Nothing fancy, just practical.

I have a little giant and it fits great in the basement. It will reach the roof with extra rung or two at the top for easy access on and off. It also works great as step ladder More stable than the telescope ladder I had.

How much does that little giant weigh? They always seemed on the heavy side to me.
