I just purchased a tripod for king pin (found one used at a garage sale) here's why... I am permanent resident in my 39mb and don't have access to a tow vehicle but feel I need to retract and extend my leveler every once in awhile. I place the tripod to support front end to do this. Any pros and cons to this please advise. Also in 7 months my hydraulic front levels have lowered by an inch and a half. Is this normal?

My main concern about putting full pin weight on that pin stabilizer tripod would be the weight rating of the tripod. Some of those are rated up to 5000 lbs, but, do you know what the weight rating is for the one you have? You are likely putting 3500 to 4000 lbs on that tripod. I would certainly hate to see that thing snap while holding the weight of the pin and the front of your coach drop to the ground. So, just make sure it has adequate load/weight rating.

Relative to leveling system changing over time..........I have found that I need to recalibrate the leveling system about once per year. I use a carpenter's level to achieve coach level manually and then put the level-up control into calibrate mode and capture. To do get into calibrate mode, start with control off, then push up arrow button 10 times quickly, then push down arrow button 10 times quickly. This will place control into calibrate mode. From there, just follow the displayed instructions.

There is no way I would support my RW with one of those...

I would buy a friendly neighbor a case of beer, or bottle of wine , in return have them place thier truck under the RW for a few minutes while you excessive the jacks..... BTW - I like beer

I guess I would be very leary of putting the full Pin Weight on one of those, some that I've seen look pretty flimsy.

The rating is 5000lbs but I didn't really know what the tongue weight was so I placed 2 scissor jack by the front jacks. Thank goodness all went well. Next time I will just auto level. FYI the service tech just raised the jacks with nothing holding the front end at all...scary but he seemed like he knew what he was doing. Don't try this unless you want to pee your pants. LOL

I have re-leveled the coach many times over the past 4 1/2 years without the coach being attached to the truck with never a hint of a problem.

I use one on my 36fl with out it walking in the living room, you can feel little movements or with washer and dryer running same thing. So I use tripod under king pin and a scissor jack under boat hitch makes it feel like your frame is on blocks.

There are some of us on here that have installed the steady fast stabilizers similar to JT strong arms. Once mounted all you do is loosen 3 wing nuts and they move with the legs. They eliminated 95% of the movement in our rights. Best thing sides disc brakes I ever did

I have the Steady Fast Stabilizers on my Redwood, good product, great company, very satisfied with the product and results.
My Redwood is very stable even with the Washer / Dryer running.
