Keyless entry

My keyless entry has quit. It is the key fob kind. I had to change the batteries in one of the fobs two weeks ago and everything worked fine. All of a sudden it quit.
We have been plugged into to power for sometime. Is it possible the unit batteries are dead? Don't they stay charged if your plugged into land power?
Any ideas or suggestions.

Just remove the handle cover inside your door. It takes 4 AA batteries & should last a season depending on use.

No they don't charge when plugged in. They actually eat batteries pretty fast, especially the wireless ones with the keyfob.

We have the wireless with the key fob (which we don't use much). Have had it over a year and had to replace the batteries once in the door unit. Don't think I have had to do it in the outside unit yet.

Put lithium AA's in my door handle, hopeful they last longer than alkaline.

Took the handle off the door and found there are no batteries, or a place for any. I removed the plunger unit and tested it to a 12 volt battery and it worked fine. I checked the wiring at the connection spot at the bottom of the door and and it had power. I checked the connections at the plunger sight and it has no power, so the problem seems to be in the door itself. Any ideas?

Well after 51 days of use out of our 2012 36FL, AWNING STOPPED WORKING 1 SIDE, shower pressure down to a trickle, kitchen faucet broke. Running out of ways to fix issues. I had to buy $2700 worth of tires LRH G114. 5x17.5 rims & tires. Number of lights don't work well inside, screws inside storage areas (25%) backed out. Fan in bedroom squealing, storage doors sticking. Refrig has constant hum, at least it cools. I assume this is normal, time to go back to sticks and bricks?

If your awning stopped working on one side, it might be jammed. If it's a Carefree, I think they only have a motor on right side (toward the nose). Mine used to catch occasionally on the slide end (RL).

My shower pressure was down to a trickle. Turns out, my expensive pressure regulator was cutting the volume by 2/3. Took it out -fixed.

I replaced all storage area screws with 1/2" longer (used stainless) because many were stripped. No problems since.

Wish I could trade you my G14s for your wheels & tires... good investment!

Water problem could be your filter, I had the same problem till I changed the filter...now I have good pressure.

The water at campgrounds isn't always the best so make sure you're using screens in your hose in addition to the coach filter.

All in a days work on a sticks an bricks. Let's see, this year left sticks and bricks awning out an it snowed overnight tearing it from the roof (ca-ching $1280), garbage disposal rusted through, followed by the hot water tap (ca-ching $900), Freeze killed 6 trees in yard (ca-ching $1,700 tree removal, not to mention estimated $12,000 replacement estimate). Tires for the house I didn't have to buy....but neither did you. I think you chose to buy those tires and wheels. I'm happy with the G614 option.
