Jeff ~ you're gonna love it. Ours is now going on 3 years old and more than 14k miles on the suspension. Tires wearing great, coach pulls like a dream. hands down the best $$ I spent . If there is another fifth wheel in my future, no matter the brand, it will have the IS before I take delivery.

Yes it was, mechanic stated, " biggest piece of junk ever put under a trailer" he may be a little biased.

I agree Vaughan, it pulls like a dream, Mobile suites has their top of the line unit with IS suspension installed by them and Morryde does the alignment for them. Found this out while at plant.
Have never seen inside of one, but I really like Redwood.

IS system install

Just for general info, we forgot to remove the shampoo and soap from shower stall this morning, traveled from Georgetown Ky to Nashville Tn across I 75, the Blue Grass Pkwy, I 65 south and I 24 and I 40 to Nashville Shores campground.
When we entered RV, to our surprise, all were still sitting on their shelves, we were impressed.

That really looks great...especially with what I've been through with broken leaf springs this week! What is the IS sys rated at for gross vehicle weight? I see you had disc brakes installed. If I may ask...how much did that add to the install, and what brand are they? Thanks!

Bob

Bob - the IS is available in 7,8, & 9k axles. To my knowledge all of us so far have done 8k axles. My coach was built with 7k but I knew we would be heavier down the road. I also changed mine to Kodiak disc. Brakes and Timken bearings when we did it. Three years ago it was $6480.00 for both. I think the suspension now is about $3200 but Jeff or Joe would know better.

My quoted price was $3100.00 for the straight install with no extras...

That is one, sexy install. Makes me reconsider how long I might keep the RW.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is where RW can't help sticking themselves in the eye. If these quality options were made available to me and others at the time of purchase, it's quite likely there wouldn't be as many negative comments on the Forums. Additionally, who knows how many problems inside the RW could have been prevented by a superior ride quality.

If I had gotten a system that looked that good.......

I'd have to pack several big mirrors to lay under the rig after I removed the tires so everyone in the campground could see it. Who knows maybe some nice bright LED lights aimed just right and some nice traveling music.

It is, now if we can just find something to improve bounce in truck, air bags help, but what I feel in truck never happens when RV goes over it, I'm spoiled now. LOL.

I don't think we want to make a habit of it Joe, but it was good to experience it.

Can tell you they weighed axles when we backed and recommended 8K axles, which we already had with Kodiac disc brakes, all they did to us was change the calipers, as Redwood's system bolts differently Eg 4 bolts to theie 5 bolts, still use same size discs.
Not sure if we can discuss price on this site, but we were quoted $3.200, but with calipers and new Timken bearings $4083.00 was final.

So you already had the disc brakes installed and this was strictly a modification to the suspension?
