if u have a residential pkg, then you need at least THREE high capacity batteries to run the inverter...

I did see at least 3 battery boxes on our first look at the new 38gk we are to pick up in the next 2 weeks
(after our vacation !)

Redwood ships with only one battery. The dealers ( at least most) are giving the 2nd battery. We got 2 with ours. Not sure what, but we did get 2. They didn't hook them up correctly and we couldn't figure out why the battery power would not open slides or set level, but after tech took a look the tech at the dealer didn't set it up correctly. Let them know the cost and they sent us a check for the repair tech's cost to fix it.

Not there...The electric slide controller is next to the netting wall but that's it.
Is it possible on the 2012 36RE it was not there?

Yes they change locations all the time of this stuff. I would look either in with the batteries above them on the wall or it may behind the back wall in the basement. But you may just have to ask someone with a 2012.

Titan Guy - Do you have the residential fridge package on your 2012, as we have an early 2013 and don't recall the residential fridge being an option at that time. Didn't think the residential fridge was available until about Spring 2013.

If you don't have a residential fridge you probably don't have an invertor. When we installed the solar system we added one, as it didn't have one from the factory.
