Induction Cooktops

This post is directed to those of you that may have swapped out their gas cook-tops to induction. I have a 2014 but I guess I just missed that window.
1) If any of you are aware of a drop-in unit, can you specify the manufacturer and model number.
2) For those of you that have an OEM induction from Redwood, who is the manufacturer and what is the model number?

Thanks,
Paul

This is a 2 burner cooktop, right?
Clearly this would not drop into a gas cooktop.

Thank You!
Paul

My opinion??? Buy a portable plug in induction cooktop. That’s what we bring with us and use.....works for us! Maybe some others can chime in who have had neg. issue(s)with the built in induction cooktop(s).

We actually have a portable induction and use it occasionally.
When we purchased our unit, it had an Atwood gas stove in it which I found to be low quality and we replaced it within a year with a so called 'upper end' unit from Atwood. This seemed like a good idea since it was a direct replacement. This cook-top looked better than the original unit, it has sealed burners and a nicer looking grate. After a few years use, the grates are discolored and have warped. What bothers me the most on these stoves is that there is no reference on the grate to properly align pots on top of the burners. My solution was to replace gas with induction, but after these replies and research that may not work for us.
Having said all that, if anyone is aware of a drop-in (or close) gas cook-top with any kind of quality to it, we would appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks,
Paul

Hey Ted 95,
Do you mean you have an induction cook-top available? But the induction cook-top will not fit in a gas cook-top cutout, will it? In other words, they are not direct replacements.
Also, I did not get a confirmation, but I believe these induction cook-tops only have 2 burners, right?
Thanks!

cook top

my dealer ordered me a gas cook top, the same as what now comes in the Redwoods. a 3 burner made by Furrion and all he had to do was shave about 1/4" off the width. it looks great. and works great.. yes only 2 burners. and i do have one for sale. be sure that is what you want to do. don't want to loose a sale but my wife hated it. besides the heat never doing what it should and we had it checked at the manuf warehouse in Florida. also think of this "no gen no cooking while traveling" i have a 6.5 so that was not the issue it was the heat issue. for me RVs should not have non gas items in them

Wayne, that Distributor in Florida is a little on the "Sly" side. Tried to tell us that ours was fine. I made him put an Amp Meter on it, had mine with me if he wouldn't. Proved it was drawing only half the listed power. He then finally admitted that there was a "Software Glitch" in some early units causing max of only 50% power. We got a new one from him and have been every happy with ours now for almost 4 years of near full time use.
