Hot Water

I recently purchased a 2014 Redwood 38BR. I am getting hot water from both sides of each faucet. Does anyone have any idea if this is a simple fix or much more complicated? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Kurt

Might be a simple fix. You state Hot water from both sides of each faucet. The lav, shower, kitchen have both hot and cold. Toilet is from the cold supply. Might be as simple as turning both valves closed on your outside shower faucet in the docking or convenience center, if they are not closed they can mix both hot and cold water and send the water to the next fixture. It's worth a try. Let us know if anything changes.

Also, Congratulations on your new to you Redwood, and welcome to the forum.

Thanks Chris for the possibility. I checked the outside faucet both on and off and released the pressure (the wand is not attached) by using a screwdriver. I checked the water faucets again and the same result occurs.

I appreciate your quick reply and possible solution.

Have a good season,

Kurt

Try the check valve on the outlet/ top of the water heater.

Also check the water heater bypass valve in the docking station/ convenience center. Make sure it is all the way to the ON position. Might blend otherwise.

Chris.

Thanks Guys. The bypass valve is in the correct position but I will (or more accurately have someone) check the valve on the water heater.

Thanks for the help and hopefully that cures the problem.

I tore my basement wall down an looked at my setup and could not think of any other way this could occur. This morning I was taking a shower and started thinking about this post and the only other valve in the coach that could allow this to happen is the shower valve if the water was left on, and the shower head it self had a valve to stop water from coming out of the head one of those water saving devises. This would let the water mix also.

I had a similar problem in 2015 Sequoia, the hot and cold lines are T'd together at the outlet of the bypass valve. both need to have a check valve to prevent back flow. Only allow flow away from the valve. Mine was missing the one on the hot line.
