grab handle

Has anyone installed some type of handle going up the 3 stairs into the bedroom? Just need a little support going up stairs. The wall on the 39MB doesn't seem like it will support anything unless it's straight up and down.

Is there no railing going up the stairs to grab. Our 36rl has one just like the stairs in your house

Our 31 has a banister as well. Having said that find the studs going up the stairs, they are there in the wall. The buy a wood banister to fit with movable mounts that will line up with the studs and still secure the banister.
Do you mean like the vertical handle going up the outside stairs?

No banister at all. There is one stud going up the center of the wall. All I can find is metal rails. Would like to find something made with wood. Can someone possibly post a picture of the banister so maybe I can recreate or can order from RW if it will work in 39MB.

Hand Rail on 39MB

I will add that we have the Butler's Pantry not the Half Bath, don't know if that would make any difference, but that's the wall the Hand Rail is mounted too.

I can't believe a manufactor would forget to install a hand rail on a set of stairs on a new trailer

We do have 1/2 bath but that shouldn't make a difference. I did make a note that the 1/2 bath has no lock on it and figured it was because you wouldn't need a lock on a pantry.

Our 39MB has the hand rail too and we have the 1/2 bath, not the pantry.

We have the FL and has a railing on both sides but when it comes to the quality I have to just laugh. I'm a finish carpenter which makes me a bit picky but on both ends all you see is the burn mark from the saw blade. The guy building it doesn't care.
If you can't get one from RW let me know the exact length you need and what species of wood and I can make one or two up for you. As long as I have the material in the shop just cover the shipping. If I need to purchase material it would just be cost. My guess is RW has them in stock and can send them right out.
I also have a band board on the walls where the railing mounts attach since studs are not in the correct places and again has burn marks on the ends.

Now that I know RW forgot to put a handle do I tell my dealer or call RW direct? I also need touch-up paint and I've heard others say it came with the 5th wheel.

WOW that's very nice of you! I have a bit of wood talent so I'm sure I can create something. Like you say, anything is better than what's on there now.

Call RW direct as long as you can install it. Why go through the hassle of a dealer to do this when you can probably do better.
