Andy,

We use that same model. I'm not say this is what happened to you, but I found when it in use in direct sunlight, it really heats up. We found bringing it "in" just a little makes it happier.
Glad to know you are warm. Let me know if you make it to Tucson. I will have a "cold one" waiting.

I also had a bad Rand McNally, but had purchased it from camping world. They replaced it immediately with no questions. That was after two years of use. My replacement is still going strong after a year. I did but the 4 year extended warranty for $ 50 to insure I had no more problems. I love it and it has served me well. I have also had a Garmin and Magellan but would take the Rand hands down. Good luck in finding the right one for you.

We have been using Rand Mcnally since 2012, we purchased that GPS along with lifetime maps in March 2012, have had no problems with our Rand McNally GPS. It works great and has gotten us through 45K miles with no issues.

I didn't purchase the extended warranty the first time, but they exchanged it regardless. Bought the extended plan this time, as it is way less hassle than going through the Visa insurance to get it replaced.

Thanks Steve - the screen just went blank and tried the reboot on the device and even tried reloading the software. Nothing would bring it back to life.

How about we pop down to Tucson on Saturday. If that works for you can you send me a PM with the park that you are in.

I believe Dan may be down in the Tucson area as well.
