It is OK to tow with a FULL freshwater tank and hot water heater...as long as your total weight is under the GVWR. Lady E Cooper gave some great tips in her post on how to estimate weight on your water tanks! Redwood weights are actually calculated with full water tanks and hot water heater. (WHOO HOO!)

When I spoke to the head of customer service, he emphasized just being very very careful about over loading ANY RV (either Redwood or SOB), because the weight limits are calculated with the brakes, frame, and your overall safety in mind.

Hope this is helpful! I'd be happy to field any other questions if you have them (it might just take a while for me to check with our Customer service and warranty guys!).
Whoo hoo is right Christian! Thanks for getting that clarified. A person thinks logic should apply, but sometimes their logic isn't the same as someone else's logic and they get a surprise at the service counter!

I'm not sure where Lippert was going with that, but now I know I'm on the same page with Redwood and most here. I have a 17,500 GVWR and a dually and full tanks give me 4 days in some pretty remote places.

2014 Redwood 36 RL - We travel with Fresh Water Tank at least 1/3 to 2/3 full all the time when travelling. There was one instance when we went to a campground that only had power hookups . So when wwe got to the campground we filled the tank full onl to find that when we got to our site that it self drained to 2/3. The overflow seems to come off the tank instead of where you fill the tank at the docking station. Not sure if anyone has experienced this or not
