Deejay - We can't discuss dealer pricing, but yes it is one of the more expensive options. We did go for the full paint and have the Black & Tan option. The reasons for going with the full paint are:
- I expect the coach will maintain a higher resale value
- We plan on keeping it for 10 - 15 yrs and believe that it will maintain a better appearance when it ages
- We bought a high end and expensive coach and the paint really makes it stand out from the rest.
- Don't have to deal with peeling decals

In the last week we saw our first RW without paint on a dealer's lot. It blended in with all the other RV's, nothing special.

Good luck on making your decision, either way you are ordering a great coach.

DJ, your dealer can do a lot better than quoted so far. Push a little harder, like you might look else where and see if they'll come down some more.

Per the new rules that started in June, we can't compare pricing from one dealership to another. For that reason a few of the posts had to be deleted.

It's not something I enjoy but I have to enforce the rules even when I don't agree with them.

Thanks all for your input. These forums are wonderful! I want to put our money where it will do the most good. One of the things we find the most difficult is waxing and washing RV's.Now we know why it costs so much to have someone else do it, as both of us are short. Dang ladder climbing! Deejay

I understand about peeling decals. Paint oxidizes, that is the reason for waxing. We live in the high desert of Washington and Eastern Oregon where they have over 300 days of sunshine a year. Last 3 days it has bee 100°. This week we are in Bend, OR and it is near 100° every day. We worry about the damage the sun can do to a rig. We haven't done the hard negotiating as yet because we need to purchase our new 2014 Chev 3500 first. Can't order the Chev until this fall, delivery in February. Will order RW around December. All in due time. We currently have a 2500 and need to upgrade. Again, thanks for your help everyone! DeeJay

lol, I know that's the truth, I'm 6'5" tall, I catch most from the ground and the last 4 or 5 foot I get on a 8' steady ladder rated for 350 pounds.

I've had 13 year old vehicles look like they are off the show room floor just for waxing 4 times a year with good paste wax.

I was able to skip the YMCA for a few days working on it, it is a work out, but I'm only 58 years old and I work out 1.5 hours a day, 5 days a week anyway.

That's why I had our dealer put a sealer on it. No waxing for 5 years. Beer time

That's another reason I'm able to do it, I don't smoke or drink. Eat more chicken and work out.
