BELIEVE ME we did not spend over $65K on a dually because we just wanted more truck than we needed, I don't think anyone did.
Everyone should know that you can buy the right DRW for a lot less than $65K The asking price on mine before dealing with them and taxes was $41K. MSRP was $52K. This was for a brand new 2013 Ram 3500 Crew Cab DRW 6.7L with 4:10 axle ratio. There is one hell of a mark-up on new trucks! It just does not have the thrills that the loaded out ones have That is why I call her "Plain Jane"

Haha! TRUE! We did get a bit more "bling" than necessary, but sold a perfectly wonderful F350 Super Duty with extras on the suspension (Ranchos, airbags, etc) because it wasn't enough truck.

Just curious. Have you found a need to add aftermarket components to your Ram in order to pull the RW?

No, although I will say that we are going to add airbags, even though it doesn't "need" it, it squats a lot and it's just vanity. The payload (or hitch pin capacity) is about 5550 pounds, so we have lots of room there standard. It pulls the trailer like a dream, literally don't feel it much.
