Dirt Devil Vacuum

My dirt devil vacuum runs for a while then just stops.. it a central vac in a 2017 RW. Any one know how I can stop this from happening.. It will start again if I wait several minutes but sure is aggravating when I want to clean the entire trailer. Thanks for any help.

Also discovered it is stopped up. Any way to unstop it ? That may solve the shutting down problem.

By stopped up, do you mean clogged or full filter bag? The bags are not very large, and the bag could be packed full. The end of the Dirt Devil Central Vac is typically in the pass thru storage protruding through the wall. Remove the cover and see if the bag is full or if there is a bag inside there at all. Typically there is a package of new bags stuffed in there.

Ya if it is plugged up, it is probably overheating. Not sure what model you have, but on our 36RL, all of the hose was accessed from the basement by removing the side panels. You should be able to find the issue there.

Ok good to know. Thanks. I’ll have hubby look into that first chance he gets.

Ours just kept running and running and never shut off. It almost caught the unit on fire.
