The counter top of the island become scratched. Does anyone know of a product that can be applied to refinish the counter? The unit is a 2012 36RL. Thanks in advance for any answers.

Assuming they are the LG counters you can sand the scratches.

If not deep use wet scotch brite pads in a circular motion. If deep, sand with about 120 grit then finish with a finer about 240 grit.

The counters are normally either quartz or an Acrylic product manufactured by LG. We have had quartz in the house for over 3 years without any scrapes or cuts, so I assumed you had the Acrylic.

We used Corian on the ships, which is very similar and that is how we maintained them. LG probably has maintenance procedures on their home page.

Mcquires makes a scratch remover for clearcoat that may work on the corian countertops. We had some scratches the the dealer "buffed" them out. I never did ask what with. We have some more now so I am going to try the scratch removed then a couple of coats of Mcquires polish. I use Mcquires polish on our stone countertops at home and what a finish, really shines them up!! I do buff them with a buffer and I am sure that helps!!

It's my understanding that the corian counters can be buffed with a high speed buffer.
