Dose anyone having problem with water collection pan in
refrigerator freezing and water in fridge???

We have it set at 4, cleared the drain and tube, but still
the water freezes in the collection pan at the back of the refrigerator and the
water doesn’t drain, it freezes up and thaws in the refrigerator then drips on everything,
any idea?????

The drain and tube are clear and drains until it freezes up
in the refrigerator again. Didn’t think 4 was too high of a setting, everything
else stays cold but not frozen.

I just checked ours and we have it set at 5 and no ice in my drain pan and very little on the fins.. Freezer is cold and freezes meat fine. I like my milk cold...
I guess everyone is going to be a little different though.

We have had severe ice on the fins. My wife was having to defrost the fridge about once a month. A neighbor in our last campground had come up with a fan that you put it he fridge to circulate the air. since then we have not had any ice in the fridge.

We have a 2012 36RL and have had the same problem with water collecting in the drain pan. It turn out to be the drain line was not routed correctly. If you take the top panel off outside for your refrigerator you will see the drain hose. If the hose is routed higher than the drain you will need to re-route the hose which only takes about 5 min to do.

Thanks, Cliff is going to check it out. Know it had to be something simple.

Just be sure when you reroute it you put the end of the drain tube through one of the vent slits so it empties outside, not into the compartment like ours did on our "13 36RL Edited by: SueMar

I couldn't even find the drain tube when I took the outside cover off. Is it the same for both Norcold and Dometic?

Ours is in the LOWER vented access door.

On our 2012 36RL we have a Dometic 4 door (no icemaker) refrigerator and the drain tube is venting through the lower access panel.
