Ceramic water filter

Has anyone ever used a ceramic water filter? They look pretty good, especially for someone as finicky about water as I am. Which brings me to my next question: do very many campsites have stink water?

Hmmm...never hear of a ceramic water filter. Thankfully, the number of campsites where we've stayed that suffered from "stink water" can be counted on less than one hand.

I should have been more specific: these are called ceramic CANDLE water filters: Doulton Water Filter Ceramic Candle And Cartridge Technologies

Sounds like the next best thing to an RO system. Definitely needs a prefilter or it'll clog but they are cleanable and reusable.

Ill be curious what the water pressure in the rig is like. In a lot of campgrounds it's not great to begin with ...

I looked at them, but ruled them out for being out of our budget.

I agree, for $50 I can buy 5 twin packs for oem filter which would be about 5-10 years worth.

Hi Travel'in Texans,

We purchased a 2012 36RE and I pulled the water filter canister out and low and behold no filter. The book doesn't tell me what brand or model number for a replacement, hoping you can help me out with the a filter brand and model number.

Safe travels, Rob & Cheryl

You can use an Omni Filter:
T01 - Carbon Filter
RS1 - Pleated Filter
RS2 - String Filter
or any other that cross
