does anyone get a good air flow from their ceiling fan? I have tried it both ways and can't feel any air flow from it. is it just to stir the air coming from the vents?

The air flow from ours is not too good. I seem to get some better movement when running it up direction. I think the flow is not good because they have to put it so close to the ceiling.

I don't think the blades have enough angle.

Ours too is just not worth having. Can't drop it down because of the slide. Would have to remove blades if you put the slide in if it was any lower.

Not low enough to get the circulation needed to help.

our original one died and we had to get a replacement from Lowes. It was a special order but we get great air flow with it. Same with the original. However, ours is a 2012 and is not recessed like I see on the newer models

We have a 2012 RL. We replaced the original fan under warranty because the blades were interfering with the slide. We run it on the medium speed and are satisfied considering the situation. Because it is so close to the ceiling, you're not going to get as good a flow as you would if it was lower. There isn't much room above the fan for it to draw air.

The only way I found it to do anything at all is to set it to draw air up from the floor. Sitting in the chairs I can feel air flow down the wall.
