During several of our long weekend trips recently we've noticed that we have picked up some hitch hikers. Somehow, ants are crawling up the tires or entering through the shore power cord or latching on to us and riding into the RV. Anyone else have this issue? How do you deal with these unwanted pests?
Grandpa, we've had that problem too. Had to buy some ant bait and spray insect killer. Followed the ant trail and spayed wherever they where coming from/to. Also sprayed the trail. Seems to have worked.
Spray around the tires, hitch and any other contact patches...
then periodic fogging while in storage works for us too

We had them come up the water line into the utility area and create a colony. Took two days to create and one big spray to remove. This past year was exciting with bugs. Ants, spiders, fruit flies, and then this fall the mice. All have been evicted I hope.
