When we arrived at our winter place in South Texas this winter we had two broken springs on a 7000 lb axle.

I ordered two replacement springs directly from Lippert. Take a photo of the tag on the axle and send it to them after you talk with them. With shipping they were $174.

What I wish I had done was order springs for the 8000lb (2000lb springs) axles. I have talked to Lippert and there is no problem doing that. Will need to also order new U bolts and bushings. I am planning on changing all four spring in the next month or two While at it I will also install Morryde CRE 3000 suspension system. .

Thanks for the reply Blenhardt. I would also like to go with 8k spring pack but they are not compatible with the Morryde re/4000. Will have to do some more research on the Morryde system. Will Lippert sell 8k springs for a 7k axle

You might also consider changing the hangers. The standard hangers on my redwood are fabricated from 1/4 inch thick steel. A local trailer supply shop offers hangers fabricated from half inch thick steel. The hangers are welded to the Frame and it should not be too difficult a job to have the old hangers cut off and new heavier duty hangers welded on. You would also need to change the wet bolts to a longer length to accommodate the thicker hangers.

Recently purchased 4000lbs springs for my 2012 36RL from Performance Trailer Braking they also set me up with longer U bolts. Just finished the install along with disc brakes, Morryde CRE300, wet bolts and MORryde UO21-003 X Factor Performance Crossmember. The folks at Performance Trailer Braking were extremally knowledgeable. Trailer stops on a dime.

3 and counting. The spring pack is a common one and the spring shop near where I broke the first two had them in stock. He replaced the long leaf with a heavier one, and said the original springs were insufficient for the trailer. Unfortunately, when my springs broke, they ate tires and caused damage to the trailer.

Thanks for all the help. I am in contact with MORryde, Performance Trailer and Lippert. Going to go with the 4k springs and the cre300. Just need to get all the dimensions down so I get the right parts the first time.
