Dealer replaced what ever batteries came with the unit with two interstate batteries. As others have posted batteries not the easiest to access. Replaced with two maintenance free AGM style. My question is on the batteries it states to charge at 14.2 volts. Is there a way to select this voltage?

On the back side of the WFCO 68100 Converter (this is what is in my coach) there is a battery type selection dip switch to select for the type of battery. Here are the manuals for that converter.

When are the batteries charged?
1. When you hook up to your truck and are on the move?
2. When you hooked up to shore power? 110, 30 amp or 50 amp?

Any time you are connected to shore power via the built in converter/charger, and anytime you are connected to the truck via the vehicle trailer charge wire, if all is operating correctly.

Looking at the manuals, AGM and lead acid are the same setting. The only difference is for gel type batteries. AGM and gel batteries ARE NOT the same.

Another thing, Interstate has maintenance free batteries that are not AGMs. Mine are lead acid. Interstates agms are north of $300 each.
