Awning will not retract

I went to retract the awning and all it would do is chatter. I had to hand roll it up while my wife push the retract button. It will extend but does not sound very good. I keep the arms and track lubed so I know they are not sticking.

Maybe you lost a gear or the motor went bad...hard to say. Whenever a motor "chatters" it usually isn't a good thing.

Agreed, sounds like a gear.

The motors are in the forward pod on the awning. Easy enough to get off, but I think it needs to be done in the stored position.

UP DATE: After trouble shooting the chatter on the right side of the awning found the gear assembly had a bad gear. Went to Lazy Days had to get motor / gear assembly. You can not buy just the gear assembly. Remove the old motor/gear assembly and installed the new one took 20 min. Awning works great. If anyone needs a motor I have one.
