Awning shade for the awning

I am looking at getting one of those screened awning shades that hooks into the awning bar and was wondering if anybody had rolled the screen up with the awning. I am one of those guys who hates to leave the awning out at night. I hate to leave it out just in case there is a freak wind. This would be just for overnight there is no way I would travel with it rolled up

Thanks
Dan

Dan - saw it done when down visiting Al at Borrego Springs. Just makes the rolled up awning a little larger.

We have a 3/4 size. It does take a little longer to roll up.

I've wanted to try it - I don't know if they will fit in the alumagaurd covers.

Anyway, as soon I a figured it was convenient to have it on, it would become a pain to remove when I didn't want it, so I haven't moved forward, but it would be interesting to hear what others do.

I have one on my awning now it is a 8ft drop by 15ft long. When you roll up the awning you unzipp the bottom 6ft of screen only the two foot pcs rolls up. I would recomend the 7ft drop then you only have one foot to roll up. I got mine from Shade Pro just love it

Also recommend Shade Pro. Ordered for both awnings, 15x9 & 10x8, they work great & once installed no ladder needed. Also cost was very little more than single piece ones that have to be removed. Love ours.

You have the 8 ft but you recommend the 7 ft - do you feel the flap is too long on yours? I was just wondering if they flap around in a breeze when you aren't using it?

What color goes well with the Redwood awning?

Those look pretty cool.

With the 7ft you only have one foot to roll up. I always have mine attached so cant say about the flapping in the wind. I have the black and grey 36rl with black screen looks good. Have had awning tied down all winter in Rockport Tx

X3 on the Shade Pro. We have one for both awnings and even have an end panel that can be put on either end. Luv them, but this year where we're parked the sun is on the Drivers side of the RW so we really haven't been using them.
Last year we had the afternoon sun and the sun screen was priceless for keeping the area under the awning cool.

Just got home with the new rig on Sat. It has two Carefree awnings w/ the LED lights and unaguard. We have always used a shade on our previous units however the only available slot on the tube is closed off at both ends with a collar. I am OK with drilling or grinding an opening to feed the shade in but before I do that I thought I would check if anyone has the same issue. Maybe I am missing something?

I had rubber collars on the ends on mine and took one off temporarily, adjusted the position of the opening and then slid the shade in. I will say that I have the shades that have the zipper that stays on when closed with the bulk of the screen stored. After installation I replaced the rubber collar. Hope this helps some.

Our Carefree awnings had an opening for the channel, you just had to adjust the awning roller just right to gain access. Installed the top section or our shades on both awnings.
