Ah don't let that HUGE hole intimidate you! If you miss, you can make it a portal window

My last rig came out under the awning and I thought it would be nice to have the option of a heated patio Believe me, that thing doesn't put out enough air to create any problems, even in the summer.

You know what they say, "Measure twice, cut once." I think I remember someone going through the decal. What a bummer.

I see where your put the hole in a Montana, but I think the Redwood would have to go on the drivers side. At least on a 36RL.

Ya, its down towards the bottom of the bedroom slide on the 36RL. For some reason, I didn't take any pictures of Redwood when I installed it, but here is where it ended up. It is probably a little high technically, but Redwood painted it black for me s part of the deal and I felt forced to go into the black stripe.

Speaking of Aristons... Anyone with the factory Ariston dryer complaining that it's too noisy? We use it rarely and last few times it seems like the dryer is making a squeely sound that bothers me.

I'm not sure if it always made the sound and now that "the honeymoon is over" I can't take it - or something happened to it and I can't take it, but either way it's like fingernails on a blackboard to me now.

Does yours sound nice and quiet or loud and squeely?? Only one year warranty so I might replace it.

Ours is definitely not quiet - not sure about squeely, but motor-ey rumbly. I typically can't sleep with it running.

I would welcome some comments on the performance and reliability of Ariston washers and dryers. After our second Splendide 2100 W/D combo bit the dust numerous times (a repair each of the last few seasons) and our first burned up electrically and was replaced under warranty I'm looking for a reliable alternative. Our 36 RL is vented for the Spendide, When the RL goes back for it's yearly inspection I'm asking the dealer to remove and dispose of it. I'm hoping that our dealer can install a separate washer and dryer and he can route the vent line so an additional hole doesn't have to be drilled on the slide.

Thanks for any comments and suggestions!

Can't speak for the Ariston, we have Whirlpool stables in our FB, they have been wonderful...no problems at all EXCEPT when we had low water pressure, the washer gave us a code indicating the problem. Once I resolved the issue all was well.

We have the washer and dryer and find that it does take all day long to do several loads. However, we find the convenience of having it in house and not having to drag it over to the bath house worth the long wash and dry times. If we were just camping, maybe not so important, but we are full timers.

We have the 38GK. The dryer vents right outside.

Do any Whirlpool models have same dimensions as Ariston/Splendide? I checked this before & there were no comparable models.

If anyone is interested in not creating a 4" hole in the side of your Redwood..........may I suggest the new model 7100-XC Splendide with advanced ventless drying technologies. They're at Camping World.

Thanks Dave, do you know if they dry very well ?
Have heard some ventless models leave stuff damp

I've heard the same. This one mentioned claims to be "new". Either way, it is an alternative to cutting a hole in the side of your coach.
