This made me grin big! Dory took a picture of our Dually going through a tunnel on Needles Highway in the black hills. It has an 8' 4" width and I admit it's one of those situations when you try to avoid having to buy a dually unless it is totally necessary. I sent the picture to my daughter and said it was one of the downsides to a dually:  The next morning I saw a picture back, and she told me my 5 year old Grandson was just cussing about that the other day!  I sure love that kid!

Did you actually fit? This is actually my biggest reason for avoiding it. I tend to do a lot of exploring down fire roads and such and dually's add a level of difficulty to that coupled with difficulty in finding proper off road tires.

I took a school bus through the tunnels on needles highway. Our church had a used school bus and we took our youth group to the Black Hills on a work camp trip. Couldn't have all work and no play, so went on an excursion to show the kids some of the hills. The ranger was a little skeptical about taking it through the tunnels, but we convinced her it was no problem. Had to fold the mirrors in to get through some of them, and was only accused of hitting once which I denied. However, I was proven wrong. After the accusation, we were in a pullout where the kids were climbing on the rocks. The accuser climbed up on the rocks, and than had me climb up. Sure enough, there was a scrape on the roof where there wasn't quite enough height clearance.

Brad, that doesn't look much tighter than many of the Toll Booths on the New York Thruway!! That's also about the same clearance I have backing our TV into the Garage if I need to work on something, but I wouldn't be without it or we wouldn't be pulling our RW, we'd still be in our Little Montana

I did get it through the airport parking at Denver without a scrape! That is also a plus!
To be honest I love driving it and other than shutting down at 4 miles to empty and calling road service for fuel, it did great this last trip!

Have you ever driven up to a drive up ATM with your dually. Some of them are pretty tight. That is one reason I love the auto mirrors.

Ours is terrible tight - I wouldn't even try it. My wife hit the bank twice with our Expedition, and I "suggested" she use the walkup ATM.
