Rob_fla,

Btw, we have I think the exactly the same issue. What is the difference in tempature between the forward (kitchen) thermostat and the bedroom? Mine is at least 4 to 6 degrees, sometimes as much as 8.

With the changes I made to our duct work and vents, both our thermostats are staying within +/- 2 Degrees.

I am ok with that range between the two.?

How did they tell you do not have the U at the end of the duct, do they have a bore scope of some type.

I know our front duct runs quite a bit past the last vent in the ceiling, just do not know how far forward.
Guess if it just dead ends it would be a good idea to cap the duct off after the last ceiling vent.

In the bedroom I can just put my hand up and feel the end of the duct. In the FL area they used a mirror and flash light. Very obvious is was dead ends on both sides.

I think +/- 2 degrees is really good. Well done, I'm still at about +/- 6 degrees and happy with that......
