2012 36RE General Question

I just purchased a used 36RE and I'm having some difficulty figuring a couple things out. Where is the switch for the ceiling fan? And where is the switch for the outdoor lights? I've tried every switch in here and before I start tearing things apart I figured I would get someone's input. Thank you in advance!

The fan should have a pull chain. No switch that I know of. If you tried all switches for the outdoor light then maybe it's a bad bulb or connection.

On our 2013 36RL (should be similar), the outside light switches are located on the bulkhead as you go upstairs (just below the thermostat). There should be two banks of three switches each. The center and right hand switch in the lower bank turns on the outside light over the door and the light below the steps outside. The other switch controls the "scare light" on the top curbside or the coach. Our ceiling fan has a pull chain to turn it on and off as well as to select the three speeds. There is also a toggle switch on the fan itself to change rotation direction.

Thank you guys! Looks like a bad fan and bad bulbs. Pull chain does nothing and the switches mentioned where, as I suspected, linked to the outdoor lights. This forum is outstanding!

Mills28 - send me a PM. I think I still have a couple of sets of switch labels for your model coach. Send me your address and I'll send you a set.

Could be mine is different but in addition to the pull chain there is an on/off rocker switch on the rear wall next to the rear window. It is a wider switch than the others.

It would be strange to have the whole fan go bad. Before you replace it check to see if you have power.

my 38RL also has a switch on the rear wall that controls the fan. The pull chain will change the speeds from off-low-med-high-off.. Once you have the speed you want, you can just hit the switch

I didn't have the switch, but I made it remote with a kit from HD. The receiver just barely fits in there. The remote goes on the wall and controls speed, on/off, and the light/dimmer if you have it.

This was our Montana, but I did the same on the Redwood.
